Server Issue (soon to be fixed!)


The server is done for the downloadable version of the game! But for the browser it turns out the server cannot be made inside of game maker itself... So... I have to remake the server in Node.js to have the browser version of the game working! 

I have already started creating the server in node.js and have 2 packets of 22 done if I do 2 a day it will take 10 days but that might be a best case scenario... in truth I'm a little burnt out and from trying to debug why the server wasn't working with web sockets and now I'm gonna take it a little easy for a few days and probably do 1 packet a day and its debugging. now another issue is I know how to code GML pretty well but node.js is very new to me so I'm working with AI on this but learning as much as I can. I'm sure after 22 packets ill probably have node.js figured out but we will see.

anyways I do have a backup file of the game that's ready to be released for non-browser plays to play on the server and i will still release that when the game jams are done but we could be a month out for the browser plays and based on the statistics for download plays the server may be dead for a while... Anyways I apologize for my overconfidence in getting the server ready for browser plays but it will still be ready soon and I've learned a lot for future development.
